Terms & Conditions

Product Purpose

Phantom Ring is a wearable NFC device that stores only your public cryptocurrency address. It is not a wallet, does not contain private keys, and cannot by itself send funds. Its sole purpose is to make receiving crypto payments quicker and less error-prone.

Ordering & Programming

  • Custom data – At checkout you provide a public wallet address, ring size, finish and (optionally) a custom label.

  • One-time programming – We encode that address into your ring before shipment. Rings are non-resizable and not designed for end-user reprogramming.

  • Test micro-payment – After programming, we tap your ring and send a nominal test transaction (fractions of SOL/ETH or a few-satoshi Lightning payment) to ensure it works. You must confirm you received it; once confirmed, we ship.

  • No cancellation after programming – Because each ring is custom, the order becomes non-refundable once programming starts.

Display Glitches & UI Errors

Wallet apps sometimes mis-display amounts or network fees. During one test transfer, a normal micro-payment of SOL caused Coinbase Wallet to flash a $140 million “network fee”—an obvious UI glitch. A quick lookup on Solscan.io showed the real, tiny fee and correct amount.

Your responsibility

  • Always double-check any unusual figure on a reputable block explorer (Solscan for SOL, Mempool.space for BTC Lightning, Etherscan for ETH).

  • Phantom Ring is not liable for display errors or temporary mis-reads inside third-party wallet apps.

Reprogramming After Delivery

Third-party NFC tools can overwrite the ring. Any modification is entirely at your own risk; Phantom Ring provides no support or liability for function or security after reprogramming.

Shipping & Risk of Loss

  • Title and risk pass to you when the carrier scans your parcel.

  • Import duties and taxes outside Canada are your responsibility.

Final Sale – No Warranty

All Phantom Rings are final sale once delivered and confirmed functional via the test transaction. We do not offer returns, exchanges, or warranties—implicit or explicit—for size errors, damage, wear-and-tear, or user modification. Inspect and test your ring immediately upon arrival.

Crypto Risks You Accept

  • Blockchain transactions are irreversible.

  • Network congestion or Lightning routing failures can delay or block payments.

  • Crypto exchange-rate volatility is outside our control.

Limitation of Liability

  • Phantom Ring is not liable for:

  • Incorrect wallet addresses supplied by the buyer;

  • Buyer mistakes after delivery (reprogramming, misuse, loss, theft, or damage);

  • Wallet-app display glitches;

  • Blockchain network outages or fee spikes;

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.

Total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the ring.
